Finn is a teen boy who lives on the “surface”. He has a hobby of surfing, and doesn’t really have friends due to his eccentricities. He’s a bit of a troublemaker, doing things as he pleases, like going out to places no one should be. Like most people who live on the surface, he is poor and tries surviving by constantly moving places and stealing food. He tries getting jobs but usually ends up fired and starting from square one. He is one of the last remaining members of his race, having lost his other family members, which may or may not be alive.

Finn is very close with Molli, and develops an unlikely friendship between Molli and Dr. Shikajima. All three go out of their way to see each other, and this friendship between the three leads to uncovering veils that were never meant to be lifted.
